According to the legend, the city was founded in753 B.C. and was the centre of Italian culture still today. Rome has always emphasized the antiquities and Roman Empire relics and the city's centre has been declared an UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Economy:

The city is the economic centre of Italy, especially because of the tertiary sector and tourism.

Culture:

It is not only monuments such as Saint-Pierre or the coliseum which attract an enormous number of tourists, but also the Vatican which is located right in the centre of Rome.

The amount of pilgrims who visit the most important centre of Christianism increases constantly each year.

Education:

Catholic influence is also present in everyday life. This is why next to the three public universities are several catholic schools. Rome also offers a large number of international and bilingual schools.
